本书为哈尔滨工业大学外国语学院本科生教材，为学生提供英语科技文献阅读的基础知识，帮助学生英掌握语科技文献有关的初步认识和阅读能力。本教材由两大单元组成：第一单元分为三个小节，第一节介绍科技文献的种类和每种科技文献的内容、特点等；第二节介绍科技文献的搜索、引文索引、数据库、学习和管理软件等；第三节介绍英语科技文献的语言特征。第二单元节选部分真实科技文献材料进行选读，第一节为会议文献，第二节为科技新闻，第三节为专利，第四节为产品说明，第五节为标准文献，第六节为期刊研究性文章，第七节为期刊综述性文章。通过本教材的学习，希望帮助同学们掌握科技文献的内涵以及快速有效阅读科技文献的技巧，助力同学们今后的理论学习和科研工作。
作者简介
赵毓琴，女，哈尔滨工业大学外国语学院教授，英语语言学博士，硕士生导师。主要研究方向为第二语言习得理论与实践、英语教学方法、英语教师教育研究、跨文化交际与外语教学。担任非英语专业硕士研究生科技文献阅读、非英语专业博士研究生学术交流英语、非英语专业博士研究生ＰＥＴＳ５课程。出版专著、教材10余本， 在国内外刊物上发表学术论文30语篇； 主持和参与国家级、省级项目近30项。
