这是一本由四川悟阅文化传播有限公司策划出版的诗集。大运河可以说是作者的母亲河。他把对母亲的感情寄托于大运河，以回忆和想象交融的笔调编织出真挚的诗篇。多年来北塔曾因工作关系游历（江）南运河沿岸的诸多城镇，多多少少都写了作品。因为常住北京，而北京的通州区是北运河的终点，他曾多次去游览。作者时常在玉河边徜徉，思考人生。因此，北塔也写了不少关于北运河的诗篇。本书所收作品分为上下两大部分，上部题为“南运河之子”，下部题为“北运河之游子”。总题则为“贯穿我的河”，意思是：大运河不仅从空间也从时间贯穿了北塔的人生，而且贯穿了他的身心。
作者简介
北塔，生于苏州，现居北京，系中国现代文学馆研究员、世界诗人大会常务副秘书长兼中国办事处主任，河北师范大学、中央民族大学、北京师范大学等高校客座教授、研究生导师，中国外国文学研究会莎士比亚研究分会秘书长，出版有诗集《巨蟒紧抱街衢——北京诗选》、学术专著《照亮自身的深渊 ——北塔诗学文选》和译著《八堂课》（库切长篇小说）等约三十种。曾受邀赴三十余国参加各类文学、学术活动，曾率中国诗歌代表团前往近二十国访问交流并参加诗会。
