Han Jiantang, a native of Tianjin in north China, is a Chinese languageprofessor with the Tianjin Normal University. He has been teachingChinese to foreign students for 22 years. In 1994, he was sent byMinistry of Education of PRC to teach Chinese in Inner Mongolia’sUlan Bator National University for three years.Works: Chinese Culture （1994）, which was used by the ChinaNational Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language （Hanbanfor short） and later adopted as a teaching material for MahdarinChinese teaching. It was displayed at the Frankfurt International BookFair in 1999 and was issued in the Uygur language in 2002. Otherworks include Approaching Traditional Chinese Art （2001） producedfor Hanban, and Picture Book on Chinese Characters Culture （2005）which is also used for teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Hehas published a dozen research papers, some of which have wonawards. In addition, he has published hundreds of illustrations innewspapers and journals; some of his works have been put on viewin the Tianjin Fine Art Works Show and the Beijing Art Gallery.
