作者简介
刘金祥，男，博士后，三级教授，岭南师范学院生命科学与技术学院副院长，主要从事热带牧草资源、牧草繁殖和生态学研究工作。1986年西北农业大学本科毕业分配至中国科学院兰州沙漠研究所工作，之后师从任继周院士和胡自治教授在甘肃农业大学获得草业科学硕士与博士学位，2001年6月东北师范大学植被生态科学教育部重点实验室博士后出站，同时获得生物学教授任职资格。2001年7月于湛江师范学院(现更名岭南师范学院)生命科学与技术学院任教授、副院长，广东省第二批“千百十”工程“省级”学术带头人培养对象。2006年7月至2007年7月在美国农业部North Great Plain Research Lab留学一年；2009年10～11月在澳大利亚UWA做访问学者。
目前担任中国热带作物学会牧草与饲料专业委员会常务理事、中国草学会教育专业委员会理事、中国草学会草业生物技术专业委员会理事、广东省草业协会常务理事、广东省本科高校植物生产类专业教学指导委员会委员，兼任《广东草业》副主编、《草原与草坪》杂志编委，是《热带作物学报》、《草业科学》等多种杂志审稿人。2012年获批教育部“留学回国人员科研启动基金”评审专家，2011年获批为广东省科学技术厅的农村科技特派员、广东省自然科学基金评审专家、湛江市战略性新兴产业招商顾问团专家、湛江市科技评估专家库专家；曾获第五届湛江市十大优秀青年，2007年度“湛江骄傲十大人物”称号。
