本书主要介绍西北印度洋的区域地质概况及马克兰增生楔天然气水合物的调查研究历史、野外资料采集,包括地震测线和地球化学站位的布设以及地震资料和地球化学样品采集的方法;同时还阐述了天然气水合物的地震资料处理及其处理效果、地震资料解释成果、地球化学样品的测试与研究结果,如断裂活动特征、与水合物有关的地球物理特征及平面展布、低角度俯冲区构造样式-流体活动-地球物理异常-水合物藏空间分布之间的耦合关系;最后介绍低角度俯冲区”二层楼结构”的天然气水合物成藏模式及其相关成果。
