“博雅英语”系列教材是重庆大学博雅学院多年博雅教育实践探索的成果,它强调跨学科的博雅英语教学,旨在培养具有国际视野的通经致用人才。系列教材以文学、哲学、历史与法学为教学内容,通过四门逐步进阶的课程,实现从”学术英语”到”以英文为媒介的专业教学”的过渡。《博雅英语:英语文学》是该系列教材的第一本教材,其目标是让学生在阅读英语文学作品的同时,全方位提升英语能力。教材指导学生通过细读文本,体悟英语文学语言的精妙和含混,走近英语文化。本教材用英文撰写,围绕英语文学原典展开,通过文本细读掌握词汇,培养批判性思维。全书分为短篇小说、诗歌、戏剧三个单元,由浅入深,由易到难。每单元包括单元序言、主体部分和课后写作与延伸阅读。单元序言介绍文学体裁的基本知识和历史演变,主体部分围绕具有代表性的文学作品展开,践行文本细读方法。这本教材是博雅学术英语模式的有益探索,它不仅服务于现有的博雅类创新型学院,也为大学英语课程在新文科建设和通识教育改革背景下的开展提供了思考和贡献。

作者简介

主编简介:肖馨瑶
重庆大学中文系副主任、副教授,比较文学与世界文学方向博士生导师,重庆大学文艺复兴与文明互鉴研究中心主任。清华大学外文系英文专业学士、硕士,美国得克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校比较文学博士。出版著作《奥维德〈爱的艺术〉译注》(商务印书馆);论文见Philological Quarterly, Classical Receptions Journal, 《外国文学评论》《文艺理论研究》《中国翻译》等中英文学术期刊。主持国家社科基金青年项目“古罗马修辞学对英国文艺复兴文学之影响研究”,参与国家社科基金重大项目“古罗马诗人奥维德全集译注”。
