英国浪漫主义诗人威廉·华兹华斯仅是自然诗人吗，抑或是人文主义诗人？本书给出了另一种视角。华兹华斯一生多产，创作生涯长达半个多世纪，其诗歌作品的语言风格和主题在各个阶段也有所变化。然而，在他的创作中常常具有特定的预言元素和声音贯穿，这在他“黄金十年”（1798-1808）创作的诗歌中体现得尤为明显。本书着力探究这些预言元素的使用，旨在揭示华兹华斯诗歌文本中的预言声音，以及诗人是如何针对文学市场和社会环境的变化来自我形塑国民诗人的身份的。除去广为读者熟知的《抒情歌谣集》（Lyrical Ballads）和《序曲》（The Prelude），本书也将华兹华斯目前较少为人研究的作品重新纳入视野，包括《芬妮克笔记》（The Fenwick Notes）、《莱尔斯通的白母鹿》（The White Doe of Rylstone）以及《彼得·贝尔》（Peter Bell），以期有对诗人更为全面的展示。
作者简介
裴云，北京外国语大学讲师，英国萨塞克斯大学（University of Sussex）英语文学博士（2015年12月），研究方向为英国浪漫主义诗歌、英国十八世纪文学与文化。现主持北京市社科基金一项；在《外国文学》、《外语学刊》、Notes and Queries、Textual Practice, Peer English等期刊中发表论文数篇；译著《伊丽莎白时代的世界图景》即将出版。
