本书以“语言产出能力”为导向，采取“语块为中心的数据驱动研究型学习”教学理念，凸显专业语块的核心地位，促进学生语言数据挖掘、数据分析能力的提升。全书分为六章，从纺织故事、纺织历史与文化、纺织与生活、纺织与生产、纺织与经济、技术纺织品几个方面对纺织及其产业、文化进行英文介绍，让学生在英语学习的同时了解纺织及其相关产业、文化。语言训练包括阅读、词块应用、口头表达、书面表达，并配以相应练习。每章很后还规定了探索性思考话题，书后附有词汇表，供读者参考使用。
作者简介
郑亚娟，1994年毕业于武汉纺织大学纺织学院针织工程专业，获工学学士学位，2004年获华中师范大学英语学科教育硕士学位。主要从事外语教学及科研工作，主讲大学英语、中国文化概况、纺织英语、纺织科技翻译等课程。曾参编出版国家十二五规划教材1本，21世纪规划教材1本，主持并完成省级教研项目1项，校级教研项目1项，参与省级、校级项目多项，共发表学术论文20余篇，靠前会议论文2篇。研究方向为教学法、应用语言学和ESP英语。
