《经管类研究生实用英语听说》重在描述当代中国经济与管理领域的相关现实状况并从此出发进行理论性和实践性探讨，是专门为中国高校经济管理领域研究生撰写的英语听说教材。 教材以叙事、描述、说明和论证四类短文为主（包括相互兼有部分），以略低于学术性公开演讲的速度进行录音，每篇短文3分钟左右。教材以供1个学期16个周使用为目的，共设置16个单元，内容包括经济特区发展，一带一路战略，中国大陆与其港、澳、台经济合作，乡村经济，企业生态，旅游经济，企业文化，房地产市场，资本市场，服务业，消费金字塔，红酒经济，制造业，劳动力，快速路网，阻碍经济发展的障碍等。每个单元包括与本单元主题相关的经济管理背景知识和英语演讲技能知识、听力能力训练、演讲能力训练和听力模拟考试4个部分。
