泛喜马拉雅植物志（第12卷2分册）记载了泛喜马拉雅地区野生的莎草科薹草属共245种，隶属50个组，其中新名称1个，新亚种1个，新组合7个，59个新异名，还对54个名称进行了后选模式标定。每种植物均有名称、文献出处、模式标本信息、形态描述、标本引证和地理分布信息，并附有线条图114帧。是迄今为止该地区内最为详尽的薹草属分类研究专著。
本书特色
《泛喜马拉雅植物志》是我国继《中国植物志》和FloraofChina（中国植物志英文修订版）之后，又一项举世瞩目的国际大型植物志编研项目。该项目由中国主导，多国参与，是目前国际上第一的英文版植物志编撰工程之一
