《就业、利息和货币通论》是著名经济学家约翰??凯恩斯的经典著作，它的发表引发了世界范围内的“凯恩斯革命”。本书的中心思想是有效需求理论，认为失业除了传统经济学认为的摩擦失业和自愿失业外，还有一种非自愿失业，其原因是有效需求不足，而有效需求是商品总供给价格与总需求价格达到均衡时的总需求，由于总供给在短期内不会有大的变动，所以失业是因为总需求或有效需求不足。有效需求包括投资需求和消费需求，有效需求不足是消费需求和投资需求不足的结果。后者又是因为消费倾向、对资本未来收益的预期和对货币的流动偏好三个心理因素的作用。消费需求不足是因消费倾向递减，使消费的增长赶不上收入的增长。投资需求不足是因为资本效率递减和流动偏好，前者是指投资利润率的下降，后者是指人们保留现金偏好。凯恩斯提出：“只要政府降低利率，刺激投资，实行公共开支和经济军事化，就可解决失业问题，化解经济危机。”这一理论为各国政府实行干预经济的政策奠定了基础。
作者简介
凯恩斯，现代西方经济学最有影响的经济学家之一，20世纪上半叶世界著名理论创新者、政治活动家和当时最杰出的英国经济学家，他创立的宏观经济学与弗洛伊德所创的精神分析法和爱因斯坦发现的相对论一起并称为20世纪人类知识界的三大革命。《就业、利息和货币通论(重译本)》是他重要著作之一。
