陈琳，南京邮电大学副教授，主要研究方向为古希腊戏剧、莎士比亚戏剧、美国现当代戏剧、戏剧理论、性别研究。温迪·华瑟斯汀是当代美国很受欢迎和称誉的剧作家之一。自七十年代以来，她的戏剧创作一直关注美国战后出生的女性在自我身份上的种种焦虑和困惑。目前，西方学术界的华瑟斯汀研究多为主题研究，试图在作品内容中厘清作家暧昧的女性主义立场。然而主题先行的研究范式并非总是那么奏效，因为它往往忽略了华瑟斯汀创作的文类特征，即喜剧形式。本文从喜剧的视角考察了华瑟斯汀各阶段的戏剧创作，试图阐释两个核心问题：她如何利用喜剧来在当代戏剧舞台上呈现女性问题？而喜剧文类本身蕴涵的精神内核又如何影响了作家对女性主义的理解和批判？本研究认为，华瑟斯汀戏剧创作的意义体现在两点：首先，为了更好地探讨新时代的女性话题，她对传统喜剧形式进行了大胆的革新与超越；其次，针对激进的女性主义戏剧在舞台上蔓延的悲观主义，华瑟斯汀以自己独特的喜剧精神试图对之进行批判和反拨。

陈琳 英语语言文学博士，南京邮电大学副教授，美国弗吉尼亚大学访问学者，江苏省比较文学学会理事。主要研究方向为古希腊戏剧、莎士比亚戏剧、美国现当代戏剧、戏剧理论、性别研究，曾在《外国文学评论》《国外文学》《外国文学》等顶级核心期刊发表论文多篇，主持江苏省哲学社会科学基金项目“西方古典喜剧的身体研究”。
